A SLICE OF SCENIC NORWAY

This tour includes all types of Norwegian landscape, from calm plains and sandy beaches to deep fjords and wild and majestetic mountains.

The bus will take us along the North Sea Road crossing Jæren,

with its unique nature and cultural landscape. One of the sandy beaches of Jæren has been awarded as the 6th best beach by the Sunday Times. Jæren is also known for its special light which has inspired many painters.

We stop at the old churchyard at Varhaug dating back to medieval times. The church yard is close to the ocean and the open landscape surrounding it creates an interesting contrast.

Next stop is Gloppedalsura, the biggest boulder field in Northern Europe.

Byrkjedalstunet is one of the most visited attractions in the region, known for its traditional Norwegian food as well as its big souvenir shop. We will stop here to allow you time to buy traditional Norwegian handicrafts and christmas decorations.

On our way back to Stavanger we drive along one of the fjords, Frafjord.
